Whalley Maintains SSMX MXW Class Championship Red Plate At Round 4

Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Development Team rider Darci Whalley continued her fine form on the 2025 season with another consistent performance at Warwick, from Round 4 of the Sunshine State Motocross Championship. Placing 2nd Overall on the day, Whalley maintains her MXW Class Red Plate after two weekends of back to back racing.

After Saturday’s racing was cancelled due to inclement weather on Friday evening, Whalley and the other MXW Class riders were presented with extremely heavy conditions to start the day on Sunday.

Feeling comfortable in the mud, Whalley would impress early, setting the fastest Qualifying time in the MXW Class heading into the first Gate Drop.

Claiming 2-2 Moto scores on the day and 2nd Overall from Round 4, Whalley maintains her MXW Class Championship lead heading into Goondawindi for round 5.

“Today was challenging with the mud, but I really enjoy those conditions”, said Whalley.

“2nd Overall was solid for the Championship and I’ve really enjoyed back to back racing weekends with the SSMX Championship, thanks to the clubs and everyone involved along with the Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Team”, concluded Whalley.

Darci Whalley and the Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Development Team now focus on Round 5 of the Sunshine State Motocross Championships, taking place at Goondawindi on the weekend of June 7th and 8th.
