Whalley Continues ProMX MXW Class Progress With 6th Overall At Toowoomba
Darci Whalley continues to progress in her second year of MXW Class racing, with another consistent performance for the Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Development Team rider at Toowoomba for Round 3 of the MXW Championship.
Whalley, who claimed back-to-back SSMX Championships just last weekend, pushed through extremely challenging conditions to claim 6th Overall.
Starting the day strong, Whalley showed her sprint speed in the mud, Qualifying in 3rd position out of the morning’s session.
With 7th position in Moto 1, Whalley was determined to better her finish and after executing a great start in Moto 2 and running in 2nd position, Whalley would get caught up in a deep rut early in the Moto losing valuable track time in the process.
Ending the Moto with 6th position, combined with her 7th in the Opening Moto, Whalley leaves Toowoomba with 6th Overall, maintaining 5th in the Championship points headed into QMP.
“I was happy with my consistent finishes in these challenging track conditions”.
“I had more in me this weekend with speed but the track was the same for everyone and a few mistakes cost me.”
“Thanks to Moto1 Motorcycles and KTM Australia, I’m excited to finish the season strong at QMP”.
