Rogers Shows Season Best Speed For BETA Combined With Costly Mistakes At ProMX Maitland

Levi Rogers and the Caloundra Motorcycle Centre (CMC) BETA Australia Racing Team made the trip to Maitland NSW and the Hunter Valley for Round 4 of the ProMX Championship. Looking to showcase testing progress and speed improvements for Rogers on the All-New 2024 BETA RX450, Rogers was keen to hit the track at Maitland.

After missing the mark with suspension settings in Qualifying and missing Superpole, Levi Rogers and the CMC BETA Australia Team were determined to bounce back for Moto 1. After starting outside of the Top 10, Rogers would rocket through the field on the opening laps to establish himself in 7th position, the first rider behind the established Factory teams and riders in ProMX. At the half-way mark, an unfortunate mistake would cost Rogers a lot of time on the ground, where he would ultimately rebound to finish in 20th position.

Following Moto 1, the second day of Racing did not prove any more successful for Rogers, despite showing great speed, the day was marked with crashes and race related incidents that would stop his progress in posting top 10 results at the chequered flag.

“This weekend was a tough one to understand”, said Rogers.

“I felt great on the bike and between BETA in Europe and the CMC BETA Australia Team, we have made a lot of progress. I was too excited in Moto 1 running in 6th and then after crashing, my frustration led into the other Moto’s where I didn’t execute like I should have. I’ll learn from this and be ready for Murray Bridge”, concluded Rogers.

The CMC BETA Australia Racing Team now heads to Murray Bridge, SA, for Round 5 of the ProMX Championship on Sunday 23rd June.
