Milner Overcomes Surgery To Keep AORC Crown In Sights At Round 3 & 4

Daniel Milner and the DM31 Off-Road Racing Team head to Mount Misery Victoria, for Round 3 & 4 of the AORC Championship this weekend.

After a dominating performance at the opening Rounds of the Championship where Milner would win all Tests, Class and Outright Victories in Roma QLD, the Victorian rider was dealth a blow after a practice crash left him with a broken Collarbone.

“I knew right away it was broken”, said Milner.

“When you have been in the sport as long as I have, you learn how to minimise injuries and within a day I was on a plane to Brisbane for surgery with Dr.Steven Andrews. Surgery went great, I have some new hardware and the original plan was to race the opening GNCC Round, but as that was cancelled we have been able to take a few extra weeks before AORC this weekend”, commented Milner.

“I’ve been back on the bike for a few weeks and I never really stopped training as that helped with my recovery. This weekend will be a test for endurance and how my Collarbone holds up. Obviously the goal is points and to maintain my Championship lead in E2, but I’ll be going for the Outright Win as long as my collarbone holds up, I think I can pick up where I left off at Roma”, concluded Milner.

Daniel Milner currently sits with a 6 point advantage as the Championship Leader in the E2 Class whilst leading the coveted “Outright” standings also.

DM31 Off-Road Racing Team mate Tom Buxton currently sits in 4th position in the E1 class just 12 points shy of the Championship lead.

The KTM DM31 Off-Road Racing Team will compete this weekend at Rounds 3 & 4 of the AORC Championship at Mount Misery, Victoria.
