PODIUM PERFORMANCE FOR RAB-JONES IN CANBERRA WITH MOTO1 MOTORCYCLES KTM JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Canberra, ACT | July 6, 2025
Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Junior Development Team rider Rowdy Rab-Jones landed a standout performance with 3rd Overall at Round 2 of the KTM MX65 Futures Class at ProMX Canberra.
Racing on the same professional caliber track as Australia’s top-tier ProMX athletes, Rab-Jones handled the hard-packed, technical ruts with maturity and intensity to nail a podium finish.
With a 5th place result in Moto 1, the QLD based rider returned with purpose in Moto 2, battling to claim 3rd. His 5-3 moto finishes were enough to secure 3rd overall for the round, marking his first ProMX-level podium of the season and a new high point in his development journey.
“I am stoked to land on the podium here in Canberra,” Rab-Jones shared post-race.
“Traralgon did not go well, so to bounce back here on a track I really enjoyed felt great.
“Thanks to my parents and the Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Junior Development Team for all of their support.”
The Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Junior Development Team continues it’s rider development program in 2025, now heading to the Final Round of the Sunshine State MX Championships taking place at Rockhampton, QLD from the 18th-2th July.
JET ALSOP CLAIMS BREAKTHROUGH MOTO WIN AND 2ND OVERALL AT CANBERRA ProMX
Canberra, ACT | ProMX Round 6
Ride Red Honda JPM Motorsports MX3 rider Jet Alsop delivered a breakout performance at Round 6 of the 2025 ProMX Championship, securing his first moto win of the season and finishing 2nd overall in Canberra.
After qualifying in 4th, Alsop set the stage for a strong day, however, in Moto 1, a poor start saw him buried outside the top 20 early in the moto.
Undeterred, he charged through the field to an impressive 3rd place finish, setting some of the fastest laps of the race in the process.
Alsop made no mistakes in Moto 2, grabbing a great start and immediately inserting himself in the battle for the lead. He went bar-to-bar with championship contender Kayd Kingsford, ultimately holding strong to claim a well-earned moto victory, his first of the 2025 campaign.
“I’ve been saying that once I finally get a start, I have the speed to challenge for wins and today we backed that up,” said Alsop.
“I was extremely disappointed after Moto 1, charging from outside the top 20 all the way to 3rd, eating roost and knowing I had the pace to fight at the front.”
“I wasn’t going to let that happen again in Moto 2. I had an epic battle with Kayd and wasn’t giving it up. I’m looking forward to more of this for the rest of the season. A huge thank you to Ride Red Honda and the JPM Motorsports team for all their support.”
The 2nd overall at Round 6 elevates Alsop to within 5 points of 2nd place in the MX3 Championship, with momentum building as the series heads into the final stretch.
JPM Honda Continue Emergence As Leading Privateer ProMX Team At Warwick
Jed Parsons Motorsport (JPM) Honda remained extremely competitive at Warwick in the Teams inaugural season in the 2025 ProMX Championship. With 3rd Overall for Jet Alsop in MX3 and 7th Overall in the highly competitive MX2 Class for Haruki Yokoyama, the Privateer JPM outfit is quickly establishing itself as the emerging privateer program in the ProMX pits.
In the MX3 Class, Jet Alsop was confident early on the rough and fast Warwick circuit, qualifying 4th to secure a strong gate pick for the day’s racing.
The story of the round, however, was one of recovery. Two average starts outside the top 10 left Alsop buried in the pack, forcing him to charge through heavy roost in both motos. He pushed forward with 3-3 finishes, laying down competitive lap times but left knowing more was possible.
“Another overall podium is great for the team and myself, but I want more now and my speed shows I’m capable of fighting for wins,” Alsop said post-race.I need to improve my starts. We probably made the wrong call not running the paddle tyre, and that definitely hurt us on the long, loamy start straight here at Warwick.”
“We’re building something strong for the rest of the season. Big thanks to Honda, JPR Motorsports, and all of my sponsors for their support.”
With his growing pace and momentum, Alsop remains firmly in the title conversation as the championship heads into the second half of the season.
In the MX2 Class, Haruki Yokoyama also impressed with a season best day of racing, posting 8-7 Moto scores for 7th Overall.
Yokoyama was in the thick of the MX2 top 10 battles all day long, fighting for clear air and pushing forward the entire time.
“I’m really happy with my progress today on track and with the team. We made solid gains and a season best result is what we were aiming for. Massive thanks to the whole JPM Team, let’s keep it rolling into Canberra”.
In the pits the JPM Honda Team presence was also noticeable, with Jed Parsons Motorsports partnered bikes and athletes on display.
Corey Creed, x3 time X Games high air Gold Medalist had his revolutionary JPM Honda CRF450R on display, hanging out with the team and greeting fans before departing with Jed Parsons for X Games this week.
