Caloundra Motorcycle Centre Racing Announces Expanded ProMX Line Up
The Caloundra Motorcycle Centre (CMC) Racing Team has unveiled a new expanded roster of riders heading into the Opening Round of the 2025 ProMX Championship, taking place this weekend at Wonthaggi in Victoria.
As a dealership based team, CMC Racing will see a change to Yamaha in 2025, having previously fielded a pro line up on BETA in 2024.
MX1 Pro class rider Levi Rogers returns to CMC Racing once again in 2025 and will lead the charge of privateers on the YZ450F. Rogers comes into 2025 after a hand and finger injury from the penultimate ProMX Round of 24’ at MX Farm, where subsequent surgeries and procedures kept him off the bike for a prolonged amount of time.
“My injury from MX Farm was complicated and I had to allow my hand and finger time to heal, especially with the skin graphs. We haven’t been back on the bike long but I am comfortable on the Yamaha and I spent many years riding blue, so I honestly feel very comfortable heading into Wonthaggi”, commented Rogers.
Added to the team line up for 2025 is Sunshine Coast local Sam Larsen who will ride in the MX2 class. Larsen, the current points leader in the Thailand Pro Motocross Championship, returns to Australia from a 2 Round trip to Asia and looks to take his current form overseas to success domestically.
“I’ve had a growing relationship with Zac and the CMC team for some time and to be a part of the full team operation for 2025 Is a real step forward for me. My racing in Thailand has really given me the confidence to push my results forward here in ProMX and we have developed a great bike with the YZ250f to challenge as privateers in MX2. I’m excited to go racing”, concluded Rogers.
Establishing a multi class line up, the addition of new riders in the MX3 class is also a first for CMC Racing, with Hayden Roche, Lachlan Roche and Addison Treeby going the CMC Racing team in 2025.
Caloundra Motorcycle Centre co-owner Zac Simpson commented on the growth of CMC Racing for 2025;
“As a dealership based racing team, we have access to local talented riders who need support to go racing at the highest levels and we are passionate about supporting our customers that want to race at ProMX.”
“Levi we have supported for many years and the addition of Sam Larsen, along with the MX3 riders is a great way to showcase Yamaha as a partner of ours within the dealership, along with all of the brands, products and sponsors that have stepped up to make this possible in 2025”, commented Simpson.
In another new avenue for CMC Racing in 2025, Joel Evans will also join the program under Team Green support on the Kawasaki KX450. Evans a long time privateer stand out in ProMX and AUSX, will debut Team Green Kawasaki branding for the CMC program.
The Opening Round of the 2025 ProMX Championship will take place at the Wonthaggi Circuit in Victoria on March 22nd and 23rd. The event is broadcast across free-to-air coverage on SBS and streaming platform SBS On Demand along with the ProMX TV livestream coverage.

Jet Alsop To Debut Ride Red Honda At ProMX Opening Round
The Opening Round of the 2025 ProMX Championship at Wonthaggi will mark the debut on Ride Red machinery for Jet Alsop in the MX3 Class, following the off-season announcement of Jett leaving his longtime KTM Australia Racing factory seat.
For Alsop, who had spent a lifetime on KTM, the change, although daunting,, has breathed fresh life into his racing career on the eve of the 25’ ProMX Championship.
“It was hard to leave KTM, but it was time for a change and I have found a great home with Ride Red Honda and the support from Jed Parsons and Craig Brown at JPM Motorsports who have built me an incredible bike to race”.
“This is my last year in MX3 and we debated up until recent weeks if going to the MX2 class was the best option. Ultimately I feel I have unfinished business in MX3 and I don’t want to spend my career wondering if I should have finished out my eligibility in MX3 chasing the Championship in 2025.”
“My goals are to stay healthy and consistent and build on that as the season develops”, commented Alsop.
With a full off-season of training under the watchful eye of Ford Dale and a new home on the CRF250R, watch for Alsop to be the potential sleeper in MX3, with speed that is unquestionable, 2025 could be the year the young QLD rider puts it all together in a bid for the 2025 ProMX Championship.
