JPM Motorsports Honda Conclude Debut ProMX Season With 2nd In MX3 Class Championship
The JPM Motorsports Honda Team wrapped up their debut ProMX Championship with an incredible 2nd in the MX3 Class Championship, with Ride Red Honda JPM Rider Jet Alsop delivering a clutch performance at the Final Round at QMP.
In a weekend that kept the JPM technicians on their A game all weekend, both team riders Jet Alsop and Haruki Yokoyama would have big crashes on track, which would require major bike work across the weekend.
In the MX3 Class, Jet Alsop went down hard in Saturday’s Qualifying session after hitting the top of the leader board in his MX3 Group. A badly bruised back would test Alsop’s resilience as he toughed out 12-3 Moto finishes for 6th Overall, locking down 2nd in the 2025 MX3 Class Championship.
“My lower back pain made it almost impossible to ride at speed this morning and that was frustrating in Moto 1.
“I knew I had to lock down 2nd in the Championship in the Opening Moto and with a 12th position we got the job done.”
“With that weight off my shoulders I was almost done for the day thinking about sitting out Moto 2. I decided I wasn’t going out like that after my comeback this season, so I geared up and toughed out a 3rd position to finish the Championship strong.”
“I want to thank Honda Australia and the JPM Motorsports Team, I couldn’t have done it this year with the help of Jed Parsons and Craig Brown”, said Alsop.
Haruki Yokoyama once again proved himself as one of the fastest Privateers in the highly competitive MX2 field, rebounding from a heavy crash in the Opening Moto to finish a very impressive 6th in Moto 2 to finish the season strong.
JPM MX Development Owner Jed Parsons commented on the 2025 ProMX Championship.
“This year has been a great journey and we were almost not going racing at the start of the season. I’m so glad we decided to put this Privateer effort together and showcase what we are capable of, giving our riders the platform via our bikes to compete against the Factory Teams”.
The JPM Motorsports Honda Team now shift their focus to the upcoming Australian Supercross Championship.
Darci Whalley 6th in ProMX MXW Class Championship For Moto1 Motorcycles KTM
Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Development Team rider Darci Whalley secured 6th in the 2025 MXW Class ProMX Championship at QMP, with a standout performance in the Opening Moto that saw her lead laps and compete with the elite riders at the front of the MXW field.
After achieving back-to-back SSMX MXW Class Championships in 2025, Whalley was determined to show her speed at the Pro level of MXW racing in Australia in the Championship Finale. Taking the Holeshot in the Opening Moto on Saturday, Whalley made her intentions clear, leading laps and looking comfortable out front.
A late race crash would hinder her podium chances, forcing Whalley to rebound in Moto 2 with a 5th position to secure 6th in the MXW Class Championship.
“It felt great to run up front and lead laps in the Opening Moto”.
“It’s the first time I’ve been able to showcase my speed at ProMX and I felt at home battling out front. I’m disappointed I made that mistake, but I’m continuing to learn racing at this level and it’s a great way to finish 2025 and know what I’m capable of next year”, said Whalley.
In the KTM Group 65 Futures, Moto1 Motorcycles KTM Junior Development Team riders Joe Thurlby and Rowdy Rabjones both had strong showings at QMP, with Thurlby taking out 7th Overall at QMP and Rabjones 8th Overall.
With his performance at QMP, Rabjones was able to secure 8th in the 2025 KTM Group 65 Futures Championship.
Career Best MX1 Moto Finish For Levi Rogers With 3rd At QMP
The Caloundra Motorcycle Centre (CMC Racing) Yamaha Team were rewarded after a season of hard work and perseverance, when MX1 Privateer standout Levi Rogers stormed to 3rd in the final MX1 Moto of the 2025 ProMX Championship.
As both a career best finish for Rogers and the Sunshine Coast based team, the celebrations coincided with a special memorial round for the late Joel Evans, where the team ran blacked out bikes in memory of the number 81.
In the MX1 Class, Rogers was strong all weekend, taking our 4th in the MX1 SuperPole session as the fastest Privateer, before putting together 6-3 Moto finishes for a season and career best 4th Overall. With a strong performance at QMP, Rogers was also able to secure 7th in the MX1 Championship for the 2025 season.
“The team and I have been working hard all year and I’m so happy to be able to finish strong like this at the end of the Championship.”
“I know my speed is there and I was really feeling confident all weekend, so to reward myself and everyone for their hard work this year feels great”, commented Rogers.
In the MX2 Class, Sam Larsen continued to persevere through what has been a challenging season, the Sunshine Coast local excited to now switch his focus to the upcoming Supercross Championship.
In the MX3 Class, the CMC Yamaha trio of team riders held a solid presence across the last few Rounds of the Championship.
Hayden Downie navigated mechanical issues in Moto 1, pushing for a day best 14th place in Moto 2, with Lachie Roache successfully Qualifying for his 4th straight MX3 Class Championship appearance to finish the season.
Returning from injury at Toowoomba, Addison Treeby was able to Qualify straight into the MX3 Championship class races with a day best 28th place in the Opening Moto. Unfortunately unable to replicate that same success at QMP, Treeby barely missed Qualifying in the highly competitive MX3 field across 2 groups of riders and will take the experience from the last 2 ProMX Rounds into 2026.
