Alsop Takes Next Step At Toowoomba With MX3 Overall Victory
Ride Red Honda JPM Racing Team rider Jet Alsop has stamped a full circle on his comeback ProMX season in 2025, claiming Overall victory at Toowoomba with 1-2 Moto finishes en route to his first overall win since Horsham in 2024.
Continuing his momentum from Canberra where he landed his first Moto win of the season, Alsop initially struggled in Qualifying at Tooowoomba and could only manage to log the 6th fastest time in the muddy conditions.
“I was really off the pace in Qualifying and the mud meant we were a little off with our settings on the bike. After making some changes I was confident we would find a flow again heading into Moto 1”.
Alsop did just that, running in 2nd position from the gate drop and taking control of the lead past the half way point, where he would maintain control of the Moto until the chequered flag.
Moto 2 saw a Holeshot and more laps lead, where he would eventually settle for 2nd position and take his first Overall win of the 2025 season.
“I figured out more with my starts leading into Toowoomba and I nailed both gate drops, which after struggling with my starts all season, it made such a difference to run up front early”.
“I’m stoked to take my first win of 2025 and we will keep working heading into QMP this coming weekend”.
With his points at Toowoomba, Alsop now moves into 2nd Position in the MX3 Championship standings as the Final Round approaches at Queensland Moto Park on Sunday August 3rd.
