Canberra, ACT | ProMX Round 6

Ride Red Honda JPM Motorsports MX3 rider Jet Alsop delivered a breakout performance at Round 6 of the 2025 ProMX Championship, securing his first moto win of the season and finishing 2nd overall in Canberra.

After qualifying in 4th, Alsop set the stage for a strong day, however, in Moto 1, a poor start saw him buried outside the top 20 early in the moto.

Undeterred, he charged through the field to an impressive 3rd place finish, setting some of the fastest laps of the race in the process.

Alsop made no mistakes in Moto 2, grabbing a great start and immediately inserting himself in the battle for the lead. He went bar-to-bar with championship contender Kayd Kingsford, ultimately holding strong to claim a well-earned moto victory, his first of the 2025 campaign.

“I’ve been saying that once I finally get a start, I have the speed to challenge for wins and today we backed that up,” said Alsop.

“I was extremely disappointed after Moto 1, charging from outside the top 20 all the way to 3rd, eating roost and knowing I had the pace to fight at the front.”

“I wasn’t going to let that happen again in Moto 2. I had an epic battle with Kayd and wasn’t giving it up. I’m looking forward to more of this for the rest of the season. A huge thank you to Ride Red Honda and the JPM Motorsports team for all their support.”

The 2nd overall at Round 6 elevates Alsop to within 5 points of 2nd place in the MX3 Championship, with momentum  building as the series heads into the final stretch.
