Rogers Consistent As Larsen Posts Season Best At Warwick
The Caloundra Motorcycle Centre Yamaha (CMC Racing) team returned to form at Round 5 of the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship in Warwick, QLD, with strong performances across both the MX1 and MX2 classes.
In the MX1 Class, Levi Rogers continued to prove his outright pace in the premier MX1 class with a 9th-place qualifying effort before stepping it up in SuperPole, where he clocked the 4th fastest lap time, his best SuperPole result of the season.
Despite a pair of tough starts that left him with work to do, Rogers fought through the pack in both motos to claim 9th in Moto 1 and 9th in Moto 2, resulting in a consistent 9th Overall for the round. He now holds 9th place in the MX1 Championship standings, firmly in the hunt as leading privateer with the series heading into its second half.
“I felt great early in the day and posting a top 5 time in SuperPole shows I have the speed,”
“I struggled to put it all together in the motos, my starts need to be better and I’m having to pass too many riders each race, but we will work on that for Adelaide”, commented Rogers.
In the MX2 Class, Sam Larsen delivered his strongest showing of the 2025 season at Warwick, overcoming an early qualifying position of 19th to finish 16th in Moto 1 and improve to 14th in Moto 2, giving him 12th Overall for the round, his best finish so far.
Despite run-ins with other riders and the intensity of the deepening ruts as the day wore on, Larsen maintained composure and showed clear progress in race fitness and racecraft.
“I’ve been working hard away from the races to fix some things and I actually preferred the rough version of this track later in the day.”
“I had incidents with other riders and kept pushing in both motos for a season-best day, which is rewarding for the team and myself,” commented Larsen.
In the MX3 Class, Lachlan Roche qualified for his first MX3 Championship race of the season, posting 30-27 moto scores and gaining valuable experience in the MX3 Championship class in his rookie season.
